 Chlorine Dioxide : A Potential Mouth Rinse for Oral Health Shubangi Mani, Ameet Mani, Rajiv Saini  ABSTRACT  The current global and regional patterns of oral disease largely reflect distinct risk profiles across countries, related to living conditions, lifestyles and the implementation of preventive oral health systems.  Periodontitis has been proposed as having an etiological or modulating role in cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, respiratory disease, adverse pregnancy outcome and other systemic diseases. Chlorine dioxide when stabilized in water and used at low concentration effectively neutralizes volatile sulfur compounds in the oral cavity. 치과진료소에서 이산화염소가스 환경모니터링 및 살균효과 Environmental monitoring and bactericidal efficacy of Chlorine Dioxide Gas in a Dental Office 본 연구의 목적은 치과 진료소에 속하는 공기 중 미생물의 수를 확인하고 치과용 수술실에서 플라즈마 필터, 고효율 특정 공기 필터 및 CLO2 가스 발생기와 함께 에어컨 장치와 같은 장치를 사용하는 살균 효능을 평가하는 것이었고 결과적으로 , 4mg/L-CLO2 가스가 수술실에서 ACP 및 HEPA 필터와 함께 사용될 때 미생물의 성장이 억제됨을 확인하였습니다. 다시 말해, CLO2 가스는 소독 및 살균에 매우 효과적인 것으로 입증되었습니다. ​ 논문을 이해하는데는 병원균의 명칭이나 실험에 사용된 균배양에 관련된 전문성이 필요하지만, 병원환경에서 실험한 내용이 향후에 CLO2의 활용방안을 찾는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것 같습니다.
